While opening an interior wall, we found two small metal objects tucked deliberately between the studs and connected by a thin strip of metal. Their worn appearance suggested they had once been handled often, yet there were no markings to reveal their purpose. Rather than discarding them, we placed them on our workbench and shared them with neighbors and local historians, whose guesses sparked stories and curiosity. Although no one could identify them with certainty, the discovery reminded us that our home was more than a structure; it was an archive of lives, routines, and ingenuity from generations before us.
