Sadly, and with a heavy heart, we have heartbreaking news about this legendary actress 💔😔 Check the comment below ⬇️

An actress remembered for appearances in *The Manchurian Candidate*, *Star Trek*, and *Batman* has died at the age of 90. While her Hollywood career made her recognizable to generations of viewers, her life beyond the screen was equally notable. She became involved in political organizing, environmental causes, music, and writing, gradually building an identity that extended far beyond acting.

Born Marjorie Hellen in Pennsylvania in 1935, she spent part of her childhood in a quiet rural environment with little access to radio or television. Music became an early passion, leading her to study piano. After working as a waitress, she entered modeling and eventually signed a contract with 20th Century Fox, where the studio gave her a new professional name and began shaping her acting career.

Her film and television work soon included a wide range of memorable appearances. She played Jocelyn Jordan in the 1962 political thriller *The Manchurian Candidate*, appeared with Fred Astaire in *Three on a Couch*, and portrayed Lt. Carolyn Palamas in the *Star Trek* episode *Who Mourns for Adonais?* She also appeared on *Batman*, *Perry Mason*, and *The Wild Wild West*. Later, her opposition to the Vietnam War and involvement in civic activism became increasingly important, eventually drawing her away from Hollywood.

The actress behind these memorable roles was **Leslie Parrish**, the professional name given to Marjorie Hellen by 20th Century Fox. Her activism included political organizing and involvement in Tom Bradley’s campaign to become mayor of Los Angeles, while her later life brought creative work and a relationship with writer and pilot Richard Bach, best known for *Jonathan Livingston Seagull*. Though audiences remembered her from the screen, Parrish ultimately created a life defined by far more than Hollywood.
