While some people found the tribute funny and personal, cemetery officials reportedly objected to the profanity and argued that the stone was inappropriate for a public cemetery, even calling for its removal. Despite the backlash, Owens’ family defended their decision, saying they simply wanted to remember their father as he truly was.
