My husband went to the bathroom, and an hour later, I texted him asking if he was still alive. He didn’t answer. I went to our bedroom and saw the bathroom light was on, but the door was locked. I knocked, called his name, and got nothing. Panicking, I grabbed a knife and unlocked the door. I rushed inside, checked the shower, and couldn’t find him anywhere. Then I opened the walk-in closet—and there he was, lying on the floor. I completely freaked out and started shaking him, terrified that something had happened. But then I realized the truth: he had simply laid down with our blue blanket to comfort our elderly cat, who is terrified of thunderstorms, and he had accidentally fallen asleep.
