A husband came home late one night, clearly drunk. When his wife opened the door, he apologized and said he couldn’t stop finishing a bottle of alcohol whose brand name was the same as hers. The next morning at breakfast, he complained that the food was too salty. His wife calmly replied that she couldn’t stop adding salt because the salt brand had the same name as him.

Bob once visited his friend Joe and noticed how kindly Joe treated his wife. Joe constantly complimented her, praised her cooking, and showered her with hugs and kisses. Bob commented that Joe made a big fuss over his wife. Joe explained that he had started appreciating her more about six months earlier, which had revived their marriage and made them both happier.

Inspired by Joe’s story, Bob rushed home and warmly hugged his own wife. He told her how much he loved her and asked about her day. Instead of being happy, she burst into tears. She explained that it had been a terrible day—her son Billy had fallen off his bike and broken his ankle, the washing machine had broken, and now, to make things worse, her husband had come home drunk.

One night John and Jessica were driving home from a bar when a police officer stopped them because their tail light was out. John apologized and said he would fix it, but Jessica reminded him she had warned him about it two days earlier. When the officer also noticed John’s expired license, Jessica again pointed out that she had already told him about it. Frustrated, John shouted at her to be quiet.
