My dad never liked my husband because he believed I deserved someone better. Later, I went to my parents’ house to collect some of Dad’s belongings for the hospital. When I opened his drawer, I was stunned to find several photos of my husband alongside pictures of our children. My dad treasured photographs and kept only the ones closest to his heart. In that moment, I realized that over the years, he had grown to accept my husband and love him more than I ever imagined. The man Dad once doubted had quietly won his heart.
