Steven Hamilton, 71, died after an approximately 11-foot, 8-inch alligator reportedly grabbed his leg and pulled him underwater at Dr. Bradford Memorial Park in Winter Garden, Florida, on October 16, 2026. Witnesses said he had just caught a bass and was holding it up for a photo when the attack occurred. Wildlife trappers restrained the alligator and recovered Hamilton, but he was pronounced dead. Regular visitors remembered him as a kind, friendly man who fished at the park almost every day. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating the incident…
