Two days later, the woman returned with her now-healthy daughter and revealed that she secretly funded pediatric health programs, searching for people who showed kindness when nobody was watching. My boss put me in charge of a new assistance fund created with her donation, allowing me to help countless families. I had simply wanted to help one sick child, never imagining that one small act of kindness would change so many lives.
