A beloved child actor from the golden age of television has passed away at the age of 74, leaving fans heartbroken. He was diagnosed with leukemia just last month and tragically died while on his way to the hospital. He was widely remembered for playing one of Opie Taylor’s friends on the iconic sitcom The Andy Griffith Show. The late actor was Dennis Rush, best known as Howie Pruitt.
