My attorney listened without interrupting as I explained what I had found. By the next morning, the recorder’s audio had been preserved, and I had formally separated myself from any work connected to my father’s transactions. Then investigators reviewed the information independently. The company receiving repeated transfers from Dad wasn’t a coincidence—it was connected to a scheme involving hidden payments and falsified contracts.

Dad called me two days later, suddenly calm and apologetic. He claimed the argument had been a misunderstanding and asked me to come home so we could “work everything out.” I didn’t go. Instead, I met my attorney and provided a formal statement about the transfers I had legally encountered during the investigation.
